Alabama native Lannette Brasher, founder and lead singer of the Alabama-based traditional country band Rose Colored Glasses, has been nominated for Vocalist of the Year in the Traditional/Classic Country category at the prestigious Josie Music Awards for the second consecutive year.
In addition to Lannette’s individual nomination, two original songs by Rose Colored Glasses have also been nominated for Josie Music Awards. The songs were selected from more than 20,000 entries, marking an extraordinary achievement for the band and its original music.
Lannette’s second Vocalist of the Year nomination recognizes her powerful voice, heartfelt storytelling and continued dedication to preserving the spirit of classic country music. As the creative force behind Rose Colored Glasses, she has earned a loyal following through the band’s blend of timeless country sounds and compelling original songs.
“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized for the second year among so many talented artists who are keeping traditional country music alive. Having two of our original songs nominated from more than 20,000 entries makes this year especially meaningful,” Lannette said. “This music is a part of who I am. I grew up in Vandiver, Alabama, where my dad, Clifford Brasher, and the whole family learned to make music. The Brasher Brothers are now members of the Alabama Bluegrass Hall of Fame, and I’m grateful to continue this legacy of music.”
The Josie Music Awards is one of the largest independent music award shows in the world, celebrating excellence in independent music across all genres. Winners will be announced during the annual awards ceremony this fall at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee.
